The Marist Brothers Old Pupils Association has only four months to complete its latest project before the celebration of its 125th Anniversary in August this year.

A two storey building to house a science laboratory, a sporting facility and a library for the Marist School at Mulivai.

Total cost is estimated at $1.14m

MBOPA’s patron Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi turned the first soil with Brother Brian Callaghan in a ceremony on Monday morning to officially launch the project.

In his key note speech the Prime Minister highlighted the contribution of the Marist Brothers in shaping Samoa’s education system.

He also congratulated the Old Pupils Association for the initiative to further develop one of the oldest primary schools in the country.

A legal contract was signed between leading contractor Diamond Head  Construction Company and  President of MOPA, Peseta Ioane.
