NUS: Turned-away students to sit special exams

SPECIAL NOTICE
(PRESS SECRETARIAT, Fri 9 Nov)Following a special meeting this afternoon between Cabinet and the Council, Vice Chancellor and management of the National University of Samoa, it has been decided to reset final exam papers for those students who weren’t able to sit their final exams due to parents’ oversight in not paying their tuition fees on time. Details of special exams for those students will be made available at a later date.
The Prime Minister extends his gratitude to the chairman To’omata Alapati Poese and the University’s Council, Vice Chancellor Leapai Professor Asofou So’o, management and staff for their pragmatic approach to resolving this problem.
The National University of Samoa was established in 1984 with the primary purpose of providing tertiary level education for the present and future generations of Samoa.
