Lamana Hotel gets Taumeasina Island
The Lamana Group in Papua New Guinea has been given the green light to build a multimillion dollar hotel on Taumeasina Island.
The lease was signed in the weekend between Prime Minister, Tuila’epa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi and the.
The group will invest around 50 million US dollars for the construction of a seventy hotel room on the island and 30 villas including restaurants as well as conference facilities, cafes and entertainment areas.
Leading the group’s delegation for the confirmation of the project and signing of memorandum of understanding is PNG’s Reserve Bank governor, Loi Bakani.
The project was launched Saturday afternoon at a function at Sails Restaurant, Mulinuu. Construction of the hotel is slated to begin early next year
